The " Dynamic Analyzation / Re-adjustment" concept of Kenpo Motion

One of the many important concepts imparted to me by Mr. Parker is that the "States of Matter" concept (solid, liquid and gaseous) in the Physical Science realm,  is analogous to the "Stages of Motion" concept, in the Kenpo realm...

For various reasons, I have visited many Kenpo Schools throughout the world and during these visits, I was very impressed with the number of students who take Kenpo seriously, and have the discipline to practice a lot...and as I reflected on my visits, I noticed that most Kenpo students have learned the required material, and know it quite well indeed. Yet, through no fault of their own, many have never learned Kenpo 'Motion' beyond the 'Solid' stage...

I, and those Kenpo Black Belts of like-mind, have realized that Mr. Parker's Kenpo is 'Evolving'...he wanted it that way...

For my system of Kenpo, I have utilized the Basics and Fundamentals taught to me by Mr. Parker because his standard curriculum shouldn't be changed. The technique names have been changed, the technique lists vary, and the techniques themselves have been modified, yet these changes have impacted Kenpo minimally, and are not an accurate 'measuring stick' of Kenpo's evolvement...In fact, alot of guys have changed the curriculum and they turn out students whose Kenpo isn't very effective. So how can this be type of 'Evolution' be a good thing?

One can be very fast, yet lack power, accuracy, and/or any of the other important elements necessary to execute proper technique...this is not effective, and this 'lack' exists for various reasons, mostly due to inefficient basics.

The 'Evolution' of Kenpo lives within one's 'MOTION'...the way one moves...

Our Kenpo 'Evolves' as we progresses along the path of Kenpo study, because our MOTION improves...

In order to attain the higher levels of Kenpo MOTION, one must discover then utilize, more efficient ways to move while maintaining the integrity of correct movement.

One of the most memorous lessons I had with Mr. Parker, was when I learned that with the 'Keys' to movement, motion becomes powerfully efficient and therefore, effective...These 'Keys' lie within the "Stages of Motion"...Proper Kenpo Motion...simple...

Utilizing these 'Keys' I will share with you the illusive 'Liquid' and 'Gaseous' stages of Kenpo Motion as they were taught to me by Mr. Parker...

"Power in Motion" is a great way to describe Ed Parker's Kenpo movement, and if you had witnessed "The Ol' Man" move while he was in his prime, I'm sure you would agree that he was a very powerful, awe inspiring Martial Artist...

My favorite nick-name given to Mr. Parker by Black Belt Magazine, is "The Magician of Motion"...

Because of his impeccable 'control' he could place 'red dots' on your body from his strikes though never hurting you, while demonstrating a technique with such spontaneous speed and power, that it was scary...

Or, he could deliver multiple 'whacks' at full speed, utilizing full power and only if he chose, would pain occur...based on his famous "to feel is to believe" quote..." Oh, what a feeling !!!"

Now, this is my focus:

To define the " Dynamic Analyzation / Re-adjustment " concept by applying it to Kenpo Motion, leading the student to more powerful, efficient, effective movement...

"May I assist you on your journey into the higher levels of Kenpo Motion?..."

*** Two of the many important things Mr. Parker said to me ***

"Sophisticated movements enhance efficiency and, therefore, effectiveness, of technique...."

and

"The bottom line is that we are preparing for the 'Mass Attack'.."

"Godspeed your Kenpo......you may need it tonight..."
